We clean the water we drink.
It’s time we filter the air we breathe.
Clean water and sanitation is considered a human right by the World Health Organization. Just like the water we drink, the air we breathe can transmit disease and spread harmful pollution. Spending hours indoors at school every day breathing dirty air is having a detrimental effect on our children and teachers.
“Clean air is the new clean water.”
Breaking Announcement from Safer Air Safer Schools!
We are thrilled to share a major step forward in the fight for healthier learning environments! Two critical pieces of legislation—H.583 and S.351—are advancing, bringing us closer to ensuring clean, safe air in schools across Massachusetts.
✅ S. 351 – This bill will establish a task force to assess air quality issues in schools, identify sources of pollution, and develop recommendations for mitigation strategies.
✅ H. 583 – This legislation will provide funding to install air quality monitors in schools, ensuring that administrators, teachers, and families have real-time data to make informed decisions about ventilation, filtration, and overall environmental safety.
Clean air is essential for student health, academic success, and overall well-being. These bills mark a crucial investment in our children’s future. We urge lawmakers to pass them swiftly!
Stay tuned for updates and ways to get involved. Together, we can create safer, healthier schools for all.
